Recommended method to measure is LC-MS/MS OR HPLC-EC. Also see PHEOCHROMOCYTOMA PROFILE. Samples received on holidays will be reported in next schedule/next working day.

Turnaround time (TAT): 10 – 15 days
Usage: This assay is useful as a screening test for the presumptive diagnosis of catecholamine secreting Pheochromocytoma & Paragangliomas. Metanephrine and Normetanephrine are 3-Methoxy metabolites of Epinephrine and Normetanephrine respectively. These are further metabolized to VMA. This assay may be used as a first order screening test.
Components: *Metanephrine *Normetanephrine
